Anyone can build a dashboard. There are plenty of tools on the market that enable you to connect to virtually any data source, and with just a few clicks present information inside one or more data visualizations. However, in order to really effectively communicate information in this way, it pays to understand the important role that design plays in our ability to interpret this information.
